Corley was expected to be a lucrative development, and its operator tried a number of tricks to take advantage of this, as detailed in its history.

In early 2020, a new secure HGV parking area opened in the south-eastern corner of the northbound service area with spaces for 80 HGVs. This earned Welcome Break a Park Mark Safer Parking Scheme award in March 2020. A condition of planning approval was that it is only allowed to be used on weekdays.

The forecourts here were rebranded from Shell to Welcome Break branding during spring 2020. The shops then underwent a refit in September 2022, gaining new food to go options.

Eight InstaVolt electric vehicle charging points were installed here on the northbound side in March 2021, with southbound following in April.

During the Coronavirus pandemic, North Warwickshire Borough Council took over the Days Inn hotel and used it to house HGV drivers who had tested positive.

The southbound The Good Breakfast unit was converted into a hybrid unit in February 2024, adding Chopstix Noodle Bar as an additional offer here.
