This following section was made when I was Aust 379 and I copied it of my old user page.Josh 106 (talk) 13:13, 30 October 2014 (GMT)

Hi

With reference to the animated map of the M4, who made it? And what information about service stations does it add? Johnathan404 (talk) 20:21, 13 August 2014 (BST)

i don't know who made it I saw it on Google Aust379 (talk) 07:15, 14 August 2014 (BST)

OK, thank you for your honesty. If the person who made it hasn't given us permission to use it, we can't use it. They might not want us to, and could start taking action. Johnathan404 (talk) 08:22, 14 August 2014 (BST)

High Edit Frequency

Hi,

You do know you can click 'show preview' to update the page without saving it. Only save it when you're finished - otherwise it clogs up the database, and we're not getting your best work.

Johnathan404 (talk) 18:18, 13 September 2014 (BST)

I did not know that.

Sorry! Josh 106 (talk) 19:59, 13 September 2014 (BST)

Magor

Hi

That opening date for Magor is something we've been trying to find for a long time. Where did you get it from? And do you know who built it? Johnathan404 (talk) 20:44, 23 September 2014 (BST)

When the second Severn crossing was opened in 1996 Magor was opened the year before

Granada opened magor in 1995 and they built it as well as opening it

I found out the opening date on msa trivia Josh 106 (talk) 17:05, 24 September 2014 (BST)

I see. When two websites, especially very similar ones, have conflicting information, you can't just pick which one is correct without any evidence. What if the wrong one was removed from the internet?

And I'd hope we're not going to see all the other errors on that website copied here too. Johnathan404 (talk) 22:17, 24 September 2014 (BST)

I know that it is the right date Josh 106 (talk) 16:23, 25 September 2014 (BST)

So as I said before, how do you know? We've been looking for this for a long time and a definitive answer would make me very happy (as would some planning documentation!). Johnathan404 (talk) 21:00, 25 September 2014 (BST)

I will have a look into it Josh 106 (talk) 16:51, 26 September 2014 (BST)

Copyright Violations

A business' logo is their property and we cannot go around taking it. There are enough political issues between certain people and service station operators without more blood being drawn.

A photo of a logo, taken enitrely legally, is perfectly acceptable, but we have loads of them anyway.

This should be fairly obvious - every time anyone does something on this site, they read a bit of text which says it must be their own work. Johnathan404 (talk) 19:44, 27 September 2014 (BST)

Oh dear I was trying to help.

Sorry mate :-( Josh 106 (talk) 16:42, 3 October 2014 (BST)

Your Recent Edits

Where on earth did you get that Little Chef were opening a new site from?

Also please don't mess with the |name = tag as it messes with the site. It is, after all, only intended for the Service actual name.

Also please don't fiddle with the template of the site, I am unsure as to what the Subway changes add.

Also we don't need every photo that is on Geograph and happens to show an MSA. A slab of concrete is pretty meaningless even if we're told it's a picture of Michaelwood. I've been trying to move away from the Geograph photos for years now, and only use them where they add something we don't already have.

Maybe it's worth thinking about what value you are adding to something before hitting 'submit'. There are many things I've considered adding on here and then backed down after using the 'show preview' button. Johnathan404 (talk) 20:32, 4 October 2014 (BST)

Sorry I thought little chef were operating this new MSA and sorry about the photos Josh 106 (talk) 16:51, 7 October 2014 (BST)

Harry Ramsdens

Josh,

Where did you get the information that Harry Ramsden's had opened a new site from? Looking back over your talk page, and looking at everyone else's, it seems you do not have a good record when it comes to accurately posting new information on this site. News needs sources, and on balance I think it is vital for you to be able to prove this story correct for you to be able to continue making edits here.

Traditionally MSA news was always posted to the MSA News forum. Why not use that if you're not sure? Johnathan404 (talk) 13:13, 20 October 2014 (BST)

oh no sorry I got my facts wrong again Josh 106 (talk) 16:38, 20 October 2014 (BST)

That's fine, we all make occasional mistakes. Obviously we don't go around guessing changes which may happen, so what was it you saw that made you think it was going to open? And then saw differently a few hours later to realise it isn't? Is there a web address, for example? Or another source? Johnathan404 (talk) 20:25, 20 October 2014 (BST)

i dont know Josh 106 (talk) 19:39, 23 October 2014 (BST)

You are spamming the site

I am sorry but you are adding nothing to the site. All you do is seem to make single word comments on the forums which contribute nothing or make edits to pages which are then reversed. In all honesty, you seem to be a shambles on this site and I would really ask to think about the value of some of your contributions.--Cheese2286 (talk) 07:33, 23 October 2014 (BST)

I am very sorry .--Josh 106 (talk) 15:54, 30 October 2014 (GMT)

Your most recent behaviour

DO NOT use the public or private parts of this website to air your personal grievances.

DO NOT edit other people's user pages (those are different to talk pages) without very good reason.

This is your final warning.

Also you still haven't replied to my clear question to you above. Johnathan404 (talk) 18:24, 23 October 2014 (BST)

oh dear i am very sorry Josh 106 (talk) 19:39, 23 October 2014 (BST)

Photos being passed off as your own

So, I noticed you have told myself and SABRE that you took this photo when you were about four.

It appears to be the Wikipedia thumbnail of this photo, taken by David Rogers and uploaded to Geograph in 2008.

Could you please explain? I thought it was taken by you? Has this person stolen it from you? Will this person be angry when he finds out we're using his photo? Johnathan404 (talk) 21:55, 23 November 2014 (GMT)

dont know sorryJosh 106 (talk) 20:15, 24 November 2014 (GMT)

OK, I've had enough. This isn't a court of law, but it is a place where people, myself included, volunteer their spare time, and whatever the excuse it is unfair to repeatedly add to the amount of administrative tasks. Johnathan404 (talk) 21:06, 24 November 2014 (GMT)

Direct Messages

Hi Josh,

Did you leave me a direct message via the forums but then delete it shortly after?

If so, what did it say as I am intrigued.

URBAN eat

Which MSA has a brand called URBAN eat? Johnathan404 (talk) 20:28, 3 January 2015 (GMT)

Welcome Break use it as their sandwich brand in the WHSmith, it doesn't need a page in my opinion. Rich (talk) 21:38, 3 January 2015 (GMT)

I thought the name rang a bell, they're definitely not just a Welcome Break brand, I've had them at essentially every Uni visit I've been to. No page needed Quinny898 (talk) 21:16, 4 January 2015 (GMT)

sorry about all the trouble i have caused you Josh 106 (talk) 19:35, 5 January 2015 (GMT)

Posting as other users

In addition to the above, why on Earth are you signing off as other people on other people's talk pages?

1) No reply was needed. 2) The comment you were replying to is so old, no-one cares. We're all getting hassled by emails about it now. 3) It's poor manners to edit other people's comments on talk pages, as they're a discussion. 4) It's a serious violation of the rules to pretend to be somebody else. Very serious. And you should no that, because it's pretty basic common sense.

Your comments please? Johnathan404 (talk) 19:33, 4 January 2015 (GMT)

sorry i was trying to help maybe i should stop useing this site for a bit Josh 106 (talk) 19:33, 5 January 2015 (GMT)
