Motorway Services Online

This special map loads all of the layers currently available to us, so you can suggest which one is best for different situations. These layers are selected because they are both available through Leaflet, and have a suitable fair use policy.

We need maps for three purposes. These are:

• to show the road layout around an MSA
• to show where an MSA is in the country (national and regional view)
• to show historical information (same as above but we can assume the reader is good at map reading)

You can select a layer using the box in the top-right corner. Loading all layers on every page would be unwise, because the application loads all layers at the same time, putting unnecessary stress on our sources.
