The old Little Chef on the old line of the A9 at Newtonmore has been converted to a truckstop with a café and lorry parking.
Access is available in both directions and cars can park outside the restaurant.

Trivia and Design
This site consists of the former Newtonmore Little ChefHistory restaurant, now known as Newtonmore Grill, positioned on what used to be the main A9 Perth to Inverness road. The village of Newtonmore and Kingussie were bypassed in 1979 when a new road opened to the south, meaning the site is now positioned on the B9150 and access from the A9 is situated a mile away.
After a lengthy battle with Highland Council, the current owners of the Newtonmore Grill received official truckstop signage on the main A9 in March 2023, qualifying it as an official facility.
History
The site began life as Saunders Garage, which gained the Little Chef restaurant next door in late 1971. The Little Chef lasted until around 1981, shortly after the new bypass opened, when the restaurant became the 'Chef's Grill'.
Saunders Garage was demolished in the early 1990s, with the land being used for HGV parking from around this time.
The restaurant was sold to new owners in 2010, with the restaurant becoming known as the Newtonmore Grill and Truckstop.
