KFC offer at Fleet South, situated on the back wall of the amenity building in the food court area, next to BK. This unit hasn’t had a 2021 facelift like many motorway KFCs as it’s already quite new (2018 when this building opened). KFC was available here before in the old amenity building, and then it was opposite BK, showing how Welcome Break have a noticeable tendency of positioning BK/KFC next to or near each other. KFC has been trading at Fleet since roughly 1990 & is the oldest brand here. KFC is a popular brand for groups and families at services as you can get bulk foods for a proportionately cheap price, especially compared to BK. It’s also a highly recognisable brand common to the high street. Despite its popularity at Fleet South, KFC is a small unit without its own customer seating (large customer seating area opposite). My visit to Fleet was during the morning, at which point KFC isn’t regarded as much and other brands provide breakfasts, thus it was practically empty here. KFC is signposted from the M3 and is advertised frequently around the site.
