Fresh Food Café unit at Sandbach Northbound, located in the food court area near McDonald’s. It’s a fairly small servery with no seating of its own. Fresh Food Cafe is a rare example of a motorway, sit-down restaurant that still exists. Fresh Food Cafe replaced Hot Food Co. Before that, it was Hickory's, Orchards and Foodfayre (all defunct own-brand Roadchef restaurants). This unit is much quieter than McD or Costa as it’s not a recognisable “high street” brand. Despite this, Fresh Food Cafe is still signposted from the M6. Roadchef make attempts at promoting Fresh Food Cafe lots around Sandbach, but inevitably its breakfast and lunchtime menus are likely to be overlooked by customers stopping for McDonald’s.
