Centrally positioned customer seating at Cobham, situated close to all food outlets, which lack seating of their own. The layout of this seating is typical of Extra sites & hasn’t changed since 2012, however, the inclusion of standalone units amongst this seating (such as El Mexicana or Chopstix) has reduced its size, meaning seating at Cobham quickly fills up and on a busy day, such as today, this seating area was in high demand. Some customers couldn’t get seated. Extra use trees & plantation in this seating area, which gives a nice feel, perhaps making Cobham feel more quaint/rural? The TV is playing Extra MSAs news (all Extra sites have this to highlight traffic warnings and services updates). This pic evidences the spacious, bright nature of Cobham’s interior & we have a high ceiling, making the inside feel larger. We can also see the Regus Express business lounge on the upper level, which is an entire business suite boasting lots of work/meeting space. The interior of Cobham is impressive, but as the busiest services in the UK, this seating is popular, especially in winter months when customers don’t use seating outside. You can get a better view of the interior & customer seating area from the 2nd level of Starbucks, but forgot about this at the time!
